ABOUT STACY
Stacy Dean Campbell is a Southern novelist, songwriter, recording artist, and two-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker whose work has spent four decades exploring character, place, memory, and the complicated landscapes of the American South and West.
His novels include his upcoming release, Where the Heathen Rage and Cottonwood, a recipient of a Benjamin Franklin Award for Best First Book. His work also includes the story collection Hope Is a Hard Thing and the illustrated children’s book The Mockingbird Son.
Before turning much of his attention to fiction, Campbell recorded for Columbia and Warner Bros. Records, placing four singles on the Billboard charts, and reached No. 3 on the Americana chart with Ashes of Old Love. His television work includes the Emmy Award-winning Bronco Roads and Troubadour, TX, featuring Kris Kristofferson.
